About Me

Hello! I am a magazine writer and editor. During my 17 years at Amherst College, I led the quarterly Amherst magazine, guided the editorial work of the communications division, and served as a key member of the division’s leadership team.

Now, I serve as a contract editor for college and university publications, and I write for a variety of magazines.

While I have always loved magazines, I got my start in newspapers, where I learned to write quickly and generate ideas. After that, at the Brown Alumni Magazine, I wrote about everything from maternity wear to brain-computer interfaces.

At Amherst, my editorial direction won several national awards, with CASE judges praising “general interest appeal” and “writing and design that consistently reach newsstand quality.”
